Due to consistent growth year upon year and the recent acquisition of a new site, the business is looking to expand their central finance function with the addition of a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will report directly into the Group Finance Director. In this role you will be a key part of the Senior Management Team and provide leadership and support for the entire finance function. With high levels of stakeholder management required in this role, the Financial Controller requires both a practical and hands-on approach to their work.
This is the perfect opportunity for a newly qualified ACCA / CIMA candidate looking to expand their knowledge within the manufacturing sector and take more ownership of financial processes within the group. Previous experience of working as a Financial Controller is essential.
Duties include:
* Production and delivery of Monthly Management Accounts along with consolidated commentary
* Managing and overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations (initially performing some transactional activities)
* Creating KPI dashboards and MI reports
* Providing insightful and meaningful commercial/ financial analysis
* Business partnering with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
* Budgeting and Forecasting
* Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements
* Completion and submission of Corporation Tax, VAT and R&D Claims
* Liaising with the international subsidiaries to ensure their submissions meet relevant compliance requirements
* Assisting with maintaining and devising robust financial controls, processes and systems across the department
* Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where required
* Ensuring all reporting always meets compliance standards in line with statutory law and financial regulations
* Advising on best-in-class finance processes and providing technical advice where needed
