We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting with one of our favourite SME clients based in Sheffield, in their recruitment for a newly created Finance Manager position. This business has over 30 years' experience in their field and deliver specialist services to exceptionally high standards across South Yorkshire.

After showing exceptional growth rates over the past 5 years the business is now looking to take on a brand-new Finance Manager in a newly created role. This position will report directly into the MD as a stand-alone role within an SME environment.

This position offers complete ownership of the finance function and is perfect for candidates who come from an SME background with experience of implementing financial systems, processes and controls. The ideal candidate for this role will have a clear understanding of the end-to-end financial procedures and be able to self-govern their own work accordingly.

Duties will include:
* Acting as overall finance lead within the business
* Full ownership in the production of monthly management accounts including pre-payments, accruals, variance analysis and commentary
* Full ownership in the production of year-end statutory accounts
* Managing full end-to-end processes within finance function
* Supporting business growth with financial reporting and analysis, forecasting and maintaining of cashflow
* Responsibility for leading budgeting and forecasting processes including monthly reforecasts
* Working closely with senior stakeholders in the business to provide commercial advice and analysis on financial performance and support on implementation of new systems with the business
* Assisting in audit process - acting as a point of contact for external auditors
* Completion of weekly payroll calculations, inputs and payments
* Responsibility to ensure taxation compliance is completed on a weekly and monthly basis and annual returns to HMRC are completed in a timely manner

Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Previous SME experience
* Previous Finance Manager experience
