Key Responsibilities:
* Overall finance lead within the business, providing strategic financial direction.
* Oversee financial reporting processes, including budget and forecast analysis.
* Produce monthly management accounts.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Implement cost control measures to enhance business performance and profitability.
* Handle month-end close, including posting journals, running system updates, and closing sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
* Produce budgets and annual forecasts.
* Manage daily and weekly cash flow.
* Complete quarterly VAT returns and conduct bank reconciliations.
* Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
* Support and develop a small finance team.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or Finalist.
* Ability to communicate financial performance and insights to stakeholders, board members, and senior management.
* Previous experience in a managing small team.
* Experience of working in a busy SME environment.
* Strong IT and systems experience including intermediate to advanced Excel.
