Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading Sheffield Business, in recruiting a Finance Manager to join their dynamic and successful finance team.
You will provide the Group FC and broader finance team with reliable and timely consolidation reporting and detailed understanding whilst working closely with a variety of internal stakeholders.
This opportunity would suit someone with a strong management accounts background looking to step up and has experience of working to tight timescales, whether in practice or month end reporting within industry.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate that they are confident and clear when presenting financial information in a way which is understandable to those from other backgrounds
The role has responsibility over the P&Ls for a variety of regions and will also involve working closely with the operational side of the business, and preparation of the management accounts, whilst possessing the ability to clearly explain results to senior management and other non-finance stakeholders.
The Finance Manager will also have a role supporting the Finance Business Partner (FBP) in commercial aspects of the organisation and will be a key involvement in the budget setting and forecasting processes.
Main duties:
* Responsibility for producing the P&L for a variety of offices
* Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of certain Balance Sheet elements, including inventory, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset registers for their Division
* Significant involvement in the budget process for variety of offices, as well as monthly P&L and Cashflow forecasting
* Understanding variances between reported and budgeted results and communicating these as appropriate
* Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and Operational teams to ensure that the results and forecasts are fully understood
* Ad hoc analysis as required by the Financial Controller, Finance Director, CFO and the wider business
* Training and development of more junior team members
Person spec:
Within this role you must be able to summarise and present complex information clearly, confidently, and concisely, and will have an excellent eye for detail. The successful individual will be able to deal with ambiguity and change and have strong communication and interpersonal skills alongside:
* Fully-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong management accounts background
* Attention to detail and quality work
* Willingness to get things done, take on new projects and manage own workload
* Be articulate and able to present financial information clearly
* Be able to plan and prioritise multiple tasks to meet challenging deadlines
* Be confident, able to work independently and motivated to develop their abilities
