Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful business services company based in Barnsley who have continued to grow since their inception. They currently have 5 businesses within their group which have individually serviced their localities over a sustained period of time.
Due to the consistent year-on year growth, they are looking to continue building and developing to become a leading force in the North and Midland regions alongside new acquisitions and, as such, are looking to source an ambitious and driven Finance Manager to join and manage their small dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will be targeting progression and development whilst taking on a new and exciting challenge. With responsibility for maintaining controls and compliance you will also be expected to develop your team, add value, and grow alongside the company.
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, the role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the finance department. Managing two direct reports and working alongside the Payroll Manager, the role will ensure all compliance and reporting commitments are met while overseeing the accounting function.

Duties:
*Monthly accounts to Trial Balance for 5 companies with variance analysis
*HMRC reconciliations
*Pension reconciliations
*Weekly payroll reconciliation
*Internal payroll
*A good knowledge of payroll to support Payroll Manager
*2 Direct reports; Management accountant & Credit Controller
*Accounting systems and processes
*Oversee all cash and bank activities
*Main point of contact for External Audit
*To proactively build a strong business pipeline through targeted sales campaigns and attending local networking events.

The successful candidate will need to have effective communication skills including the ability to present and discuss financial information to senior stake holders, as well as the ability to manage priorities effectively and work to autonomous timescales.
