Finance Assistant

We’re seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This role supports the delivery of a finance function aligned with the clients strategic goals. The Finance Assistant plays a key role in providing financial support and advice to managers and staff, while also handling various administrative duties.

 

Main Duties:

  • Sales Ledger: Generate accurate sales invoices promptly and handle billing queries professionally.

  • Payroll: Assist Payroll staff in processing weekly payroll across departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Purchase Ledger: Maintain purchase ledger records and ensure financial transactions are processed in line with company procedures.

  • Credit Control: Evaluate customer credit applications, approve or reject based on company criteria, and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Reporting: Create and enhance financial reports for internal use on a regular or ad-hoc basis.

  • Management Accounts: Support the preparation and analysis of management accounts when needed.

 

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Familiarity with common IT tools including spreadsheets, word processors, and databases.

  • Understanding of general office procedures.

  • Experience in maintaining detailed records.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle competing priorities.

 

Desirable:

  • Background in financial administration.

  • Skilled in producing financial documents using IT systems.
