Accounts Assistant

A great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll play a key role in supporting intercompany reporting, cost allocations and recharges, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

 

What you’ll be doing as an Accounts Assistant:

  • Taking ownership of intercompany recharges and preparing the month-end intragroup balance matrix

  • Supporting IM P&L cost allocations across budget, forecast, and actual reporting cycles

  • Assisting with invoicing and payment processes alongside the Treasury team to clear intercompany balances

  • Managing ad-hoc sales invoices and credit control activity

  • Ensuring the Accounts Assistant function maintains a strong control environment with accurate, timely financial data

  • Collaborating with colleagues across finance to deliver clear and consistent reporting

 

What we’re looking for in an Accounts Assistant:

  • Comfortable working with finance data and systems (no qualification required)

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload independently

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain information clearly and build relationships across teams

  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to problem-solving

  • Proactive and confident challenging processes to drive improvements

  • Competent using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
