As a long-standing part of the local community, the company combines the feel of a family-run organisation with the stability of a well-established enterprise. Following a sustained period of growth, they are now seeking to add a Finance Assistant to their long-standing finance team.

 

This is a great role for someone who is confident across all areas of transactional finance and looking for a secure, rewarding role in a friendly and supportive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate records of purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions

  • Handle invoice processing, supplier payments, and customer receipts

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and posting to the general ledger

  • Support month-end and year-end processes

  • Manage employee expenses

 

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role

  • Solid understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliation

  • Good working knowledge of Sage (desired not essential)

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs desirable)

  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
