Working as part a of a member of a growing finance team based in the Huddersfield area you will support the Finance Manager in covering all aspects of transactional finance as and when needed making this a very varied position.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:

* Responsible for a portfolio of companies management accounts
* Purchase Ledger
* Checking, processing and paying employee expenses
* Intercompany recharges
* Processing sales and cost journals and reconciling GP reports
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
* Creating and processing journals including accruals and prepayments
* Undertaking commercial analysis
* Processing timesheets and producing analysis reports
* Chasing overdue accounts by telephone, email etc
* Dealing with customer queries and taking payment over the phone
* Working in various departments within the finance function where needed
* Reporting to the senior leadership team

Personal Qualities:

* A highly motivated individual to join the finance team, who can demonstrate the ability to build good working relationships with staff across the company.
* Experience of working in a business to customer environment
* Excellent Excel skills along with Sage & Sage Payroll advantageous.
* Strong written English and a confident telephone manner
* Strong organisational skills and previous experience of working in a busy finance environment.
* Must thrive in an environment driven by tight deadlines and the ability to deliver results.
* Must have an appetite for ownership of issues and accountability for results
* The flexibility and adaptability to work in other areas of the finance team.
