Accounts Assistant and Compliance Administrator

Job description

I am working closely with a well-established manufacturing company based in Barnsley who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant & Compliance Administrator to support their finance function and ensure strong compliance across day-to-day operations.

This role offers excellent career progression and ongoing opportunities to develop your finance and compliance skill set. You will be working within a vibrant, supportive team, adding real value across multiple transactional finance departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high-volume financial transactions, including purchase and sales invoices

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Maintaining accurate and compliant financial records

  • Supporting internal and external audits

  • Assisting with compliance checks in line with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Maintaining documentation related to financial controls and procedures

  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience assisting with audit (ideal not essential)

  • Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems

  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
