Accounts Assistant

I am recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Grimsby. With a strong reputation in their sector and continued investment in people, projects, and technology, the business is experiencing sustained growth and is now looking to expand their finance team with the addition of an Accounts Assistant.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable yet expanding organisation, where you will work within a small, friendly, and supportive finance team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of transactional finance activities and the chance to develop your skills as the business continues to grow.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable activities

  • Performing bank and account reconciliations

  • Assisting with month-end procedures

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

  • Handling supplier and customer queries

  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or finance administration role

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

  • Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Professional and confidential approach to financial information
