The main duties of this role include:
*Maintenance of the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
*Bank reconciliation
*Supplier statement reconciliations
*Payroll administration for external clients
*Assisting with the payment runs
*Cash allocation
*Preparing VAT returns
*General office administrative duties (e.g. staffing the telephone, dealing with incoming and outgoing post, monitoring Outlook mailboxes)
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
*Experience of working in a Finance Team, and accounts functions
*Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
*Good communication skills
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Experience of relevant accounting software (Sage 200, and Sage Payroll) is desirable
