​Sharp Consultancy is proud to partner with a large, multi site international organisation with a major regional presence in South Yorkshire, in their search for a Management Accountant to take ownership of a large business unit. Our client has continued to thrive in recent years, demonstrating impressive organic expansion alongside strategic acquisition-led growth. This appointment follows a major system implementation designed to enhance financial planning and support continued international development.

As the Divisional Management Accountant, you will lead the full suite of financial processes for a key operational division including management accounts production, budgeting and forecasting and project accounting. This is a highly varied role offering substantial autonomy, supported by a people-focused leadership team that places genuine trust in its finance function. Having recruited for several of their finance teams over a number of years, I can confidently say the business provides an exceptional working environment.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant seeking to expand their commercial skill set. It offers outstanding long-term development potential, providing an excellent foundation for progression into a Financial Controller position in the future.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary between £50,000 - £60,000

  • Up to 3 days WFH

  • Private Healthcare

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

  • Option to purchase additional leave

  • 5% employer pension contribution

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Produce comprehensive monthly management accounts for a well established business region, delivering detailed variance analysis and clear, insightful commentary.

  • Lead the full budgeting and forecasting cycle for the division, including re forecasts, cost control initiatives, and forward looking financial planning.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with operational teams, supporting divisional budget holders and influencing decision making through high quality financial insight.

  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the division, identifying opportunities to improve processes and implementing enhanced procedures where required.

  • Ensure all revenue and costs are allocated correctly across projects and workstreams.

  • Support the development of the wider finance team, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified

  • Experience of working as a Management Accountant
