Sharp Consultancy is currently recruiting on behalf of one of the fastest growing businesses within the Chesterfield area for a Divisional Financial Controller. You will be tasked with taking full responsibility for the financial leadership across the region as well as being the key finance support towards the long-term regional business model and projects.
The business has seen a strong performance both prior to and during COVID and this role has been newly created due to the growth the business has seen within the local region and has planned throughout 2021-2023.
As such this will be a key appointment within the business, reporting directly into the Group Finance Director and sitting alongside the Regional Managing Director to enable the correct business decisions during that significant period of growth.
Key responsibilities will also include;
- Overall financial management and reporting for the company
- Ensuring all reporting is compliant with accounting standards and relevant
legislation
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
- Contribution to the financial strategy of the business
- Developing the internal control policies and procedures
- Management of a small finance team
You must be a qualified accountant, with excellent interpersonal skills who has a proven record of developing relationships within finance and non-finance at both a management and non-management level.
Any previous experience with key projects or a contract based business would be advantageous but not essential.
