Credit Controller

Job description

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing retail business based in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

This role would suit an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Ecommerce experience would be highly advantageous, given the nature of the business and its customer base.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the end-to-end credit control process for a high-volume ledger

  • Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email in a professional and timely manner

  • Building strong relationships with customers to resolve payment queries efficiently

  • Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts

  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies

  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and prompt payment

 

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Credit Control role

  • Previous experience within retail and/or ecommerce environments is desirable

  • Strong communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Able to manage a busy workload and work to deadlines

  • Competent with Excel and finance systems

 

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary of £26,000 – £28,000, depending on experience
