Credit Controller

Job description

We’re supporting a long-established business based in Holbeck who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their busy finance team on a temporary basis. It’s a traditional credit control role within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a strong focus on customer relationships and collaboration within a close-knit team.

 

What you’ll be doing as a Credit Controller

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring prompt and professional collection of outstanding payments

  • Building positive relationships with clients to support long-term account management and credit control effectiveness

  • Working closely with colleagues across finance and sales to resolve queries and improve processes

  • Posting and allocating cash accurately, keeping ledgers up to date

  • Producing aged debt reports and assisting with wider team projects when needed

 

Credit Controller - What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in credit control, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A proactive team player who enjoys working collaboratively under pressure

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confident using Excel and accounting systems

 

Credit Controller - What’s on offer

  • 4 month temporary contract – immediate start available

  • £14–£16 per hour (depending on experience)

  • Office-based role in LS12 with free parking
