True corporate finance advisory roles are rare in York and this one has arisen due to investment in a growing Yorkshire team, with lovely offices in York city centre providing the base for expansion.

This advisory business has achieved growth in its corporate finance services every year for over 10 years now, employing a team of 20+ professionals. Members of the team include ex big 4 and Top 10 firm of chartered accountants' employees and deals range from SME to very sizeable mid-market deals. These deals are proper lead advisory deals, for national larger corporates growing via acquisition, private equity backed businesses and privately owned business covering all manner of deal types such as MBO, disposals, acquisition, fund raising and corporate strategic advice, amongst others.

With such a large team, opportunities for sector specialism can often also be accommodated and deals are not just regional but countrywide.

You will need to have reasonably extensive and up to date corporate finance experience, most likely from a Top 20 firm, investment bank or quality boutique, possibly as a senior associate/manager or senior manager/assistant director. If you haven't yet led deals, you will have played a key part in the management of them. Whilst not essential, a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CA or ACCA (ICAEW or ICAS) would have some advantages.

Whilst York is a great city to work in, hybrid working is offered.
