Sharp Consultancy are partnering with an award-winning Rotherham based manufacturing business who are highly regarded within their respective industry. They have consistently heavily invested in their staff as well as their machines/equipment and further investment is planned for 2022-2023 and the business already has one of the most extensive collections of sector specific machines in the UK.

As part of the investment process, a newly created and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Management Accountant to join the team, which will play a pivotal role in the medium/long term strategic focus of the business.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for helping to shape the direction of the business through accurate reporting and stakeholder engagement as well as providing detailed commercial analysis. The role will offer a strong link between the finance department and both the commercial and operational teams in order to help shape the commercial decision-making process.

As the business continues to evolve, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in a number of exciting and challenging projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
*Assist in the production of timely and accurate Monthly Management Accounts (Including P&L, Fixed Assets Register, Capex Review)
*Produce timely and accurate weekly/monthly management information and commercial performance reviews
*Develop reports and analysis to drive forward commercial understanding, business performance and help make commercial decisions on key measures such as customer type, price group, product and mix of supply
*Control and manage monthly provisions for inclusion in periodic management accounts
*Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to Senior Management and Group Board members
*Analysis and reporting of revenue, costs and profitability across product range and customer mix
*Assist the Site Financial Controller with review/ analysis of operational costs as well as margins, providing insight to the Commercial and Operational teams
*Support initiatives and drive systems/process to remove manual and repetitive tasks, improve analysis and information for decision making and further developments in line with business strategy
*Weekly reporting schedules as well as production of weekly sales reports
*Provide Insight to discuss impacts of changes to the forecast
*Review and challenge accuracy of forecasting
*Provide variance analysis of actuals Vs budget and variations
*Create consistent data and a common understanding across both Commercial/ Operational departments
*Simplify and enhance the cashflow forecasting process
*Supporting the budgeting process
*Any other duties as the business requires

Person Spec:
*ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA Qualified (or part-qualified/close to qualified)
*Strong analysis skills, able to analyse and interpret critical information
*Demonstrable experience of adding value through reporting/analysis
*Ability to influence at all levels
*Ability to work cross functionally
*Excellent Excel abilities
*Experience in manufacturing would be highly desirable although not essential
