Fantastic opportunity in Leeds city centre for a career minded Business Analyst to join a national household name. Our client is recruiting for someone who has a keen interest in analysis and reporting. As a Business Analyst you will work closely with different business teams to understand, document, and deliver requirements associated with significant business problems and opportunities. The role covers the broad spectrum of change management from initial discovery to project scoping then onto requirements elicitation and supporting delivery aligned with the businesses strategic objectives.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
*Defines and plans the analysis approach for large projects through to small developments including work effort estimation.
*Assists in defining requirements scope for medium size internal and external development efforts.
*Identifies analysis deliverables, including definition of elicitation approach, model selection & requirements definition output. Also responsible for initiating Systems Development collaboration efforts as appropriate.
*Responsible for requirements elicitation efforts within defined task objectives and scope, including negotiating conflict resolution & constructively challenging to ensure optimum solutions are achieved
*Responsible for managing a wide range of key stakeholders at all levels across the Society and 3rd party organisations within the context of analysis efforts.
*Acts as liaison point within analysis activities for business areas and IT departments. Also works closely with Project Managers to deliver strategic project outputs.
*Undertakes business process analysis in conjunction with operational / non-operational departments.
*Identifies, agrees and implements process improvements via coherent modelling and implementation planning.
*Identifies new opportunities for current system exploitation to fully utilise existing functionality where appropriate.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

*Previous experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a regulated environment, ideally in Financial Services.
*Ability to apply analytical thinking and problems solving skills to a diverse range of tasks from projects to small developments.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor communication approach to the respective audience.
*Self-motivated & self-directed with ability to deliver outcomes to strict deadlines
*Ability to construct cogent analytical models using a variety of tools and techniques.
*Software knowledge - Word, Excel, Visio etc.
*Excellent people management skills
*Excellent information gathering and analysis skills
*Able to adapt to change
