Assistant Management Accountant

Job description

We’re partnering with a fast-growing manufacturing company that’s transforming its sector through innovation, quality, and operational excellence. Whether producing high-performance components or delivering tailored solutions for clients across industries, this business is rapidly building a reputation for excellence. They’re now looking for a motivated, hands-on finance professional who wants to be part of something dynamic—where your work directly impacts the company’s success.

We're seeking someone to support the day-to-day financial operations that keep this busy manufacturing environment running efficiently. You’ll play a vital role in tracking performance, assisting with monthly reporting, and ensuring the leadership team has accurate, timely financial insights to drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily finance support across multiple departments and production sites

  • Monitor financial performance across the business and contribute to executive-level reporting

  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including plant, machinery, and other capital assets

  • Record journals and assist with month-end close, including Profit & Loss reporting

  • Support year-end audits and preparation of statutory financial statements

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and deliver ad hoc financial analysis as needed

  • Assist with VAT return preparation and submissions

What We’re Looking For:

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or similar

  • Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments, including operations and production

  • Strong attention to detail, well-organised, and deadline-oriented

Experience with month-end finance processes is a plus. Ideally, you’re progressing toward a recognised qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA). This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your finance career in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
