Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job description

My client are a well respected and easily recognisable brand who are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their fantastic team in North Leeds.

  • Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct coding within the finance system.

  • Prepare and schedule weekly payments to suppliers, reconciling them with supplier account records.

  • Liaise with suppliers to address and resolve any queries related to invoices or payments.

  • Investigate and clear outstanding items on supplier accounts, including debit balances and discrepancies.

  • Follow all applicable financial procedures and company policies.

  • Create and update supplier records in the system in line with internal guidelines.

  • Complete monthly reconciliations of supplier statements.

  • Match and allocate all open items on supplier ledgers to maintain accurate records.

  • Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable team’s shared inbox efficiently.

  • Provide support to colleagues by covering their responsibilities during absences.

  • Process, post, and reconcile all transactions related to company credit cards.

  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager on an ad-hoc basis.
