Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working once again with an exciting and continuously growing business based in Sheffield. They are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Assistant with strong all-round general accounts knowledge or working towards an accounting qualification.
Working as part of a larger team, reporting directly into the Accounts Payable Manager, the role would suit someone who can confidently undertake multiple accounts payable tasks and all other duties assigned to the accounts payable department.
Role responsibilities:
-Match, check and code invoices and coordinate progression of related queries into approvals
-Reconcile supplier statements
-Resolving purchase ledger queries internally and externally
-Raising payment runs
-Assist with managing multiple email boxes for AP department
-Report for month end
-Assist with other finance duties as assigned to the department
Experience requirements:
-Excellent working knowledge of excel, BACS, Accounting software's.
-Recent and relevant purchase ledger experience
-High degree of data accuracy and attention to detail.
-Good communication skills and the ability to resolve queries both internally and externally.
-Able to deal with large volumes of invoices
-Experience with NetSuite/Oracle is preferred but not essential
