Working as part a of a member of a small finance team you will support the Management Accountant whist ultimately reporting the Finance Controller assisting in overseeing the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions along with other finance.
The main duties and responsibilities are to include:
Banking:
*Bank cash and cheques on a regular basis
*Process bank transactions - coding receipts and payments, posting to correct accounts within Sage
*Monthly bank reconciliations
*Credit card coding, posting and reconciling
Petty Cash:
*Analyse the cash spent during the month from different locations, code and post costs to Sage
*Count and reconcile Head Office petty cash on a weekly basis
Sales Ledger:
*Raise sales ledger invoices on a monthly basis or quarterly basis as appropriate.
*Maintain sales invoice spreadsheets
*Post invoices onto Sage
*Credit control
Purchase Ledger:
*Code and post invoices to Sage
*Obtain authorisation for payment from the relevant Manager
*Reconcile supplier statements where applicable
*Prepare batch payments
Other areas:
*Journal postings
*Preparation of accruals and prepayments
