Working for a well-known and highly reputable professional services business in the heart of Leeds City Centre this is a great opportunity to grow your experience in accountancy and finance with a firm with an excellent track record of development over the long term.

Main duties are to include:

*Prepare/balance control accounts
*Post journals correctly after having identified errors
*Preparing HP accounts, including dealing with part exchanges
*Posting from working papers/TB onto software
*Prepare lead schedules that agree to the accounts
*Able to properly follow accounts works programme
*Draft standard letter of representation
*Complete basic tagging of accounts without supervision
*Complete simple corporation tax computations, including capital allowances claims, and take responsibility for obtaining and clearing reviews

We would be interested in hearing from individuals with the following skills and experiences:

*Previous experience working in a professional practice environment
*Good understanding of Excel basics, e.g. formula, Auto sum
*Ability to use key software, Word & Xero
*Awareness of budgets given for particular aspects of assignments and efforts made to keep them or early notification of potential overrun
*Asks questions on assignments promptly and effectively
*Draft email communication for review by Manager prior to sending to client to request missing information/basic queries arising
*Strong attention to detail with good organisation
