We are delighted to announce our continued recruitment with an exclusive Sheffield-based manufacturing business on a brand-new assignment for a Senior Management Accountant. Originally internationally-owned this business are prominent within the metals industry and supply their bespoke selection of products to a range of different industries including food, agriculture and hydraulics.
The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the full production of management accounts, implementation of new financial controls and systems as well as leading the budgeting and forecasting processes. The role has been designed to support the Group Financial Controller and an Assistant Management Accountant within the team - offering fantastic mentorship prospects.
You will hold responsibility for influencing strategic decisions that will drive performance within the UK division of the business, as well as leading various reporting processes and delivering these results to multiple stakeholders across the wider operational team.
This is a rare opportunity to work for a local business that can offer flexibility and genuine growth within the role. This position is ideal for newly qualified individuals with previous manufacturing experience looking to take on a commercially driven role within a group setting.
Responsibilities will include:
* Responsibility for monthly reporting including KPI reporting and analysis
* Ownership of inventory accounting including reconciliations and stock counts
* Leading monthly budgeting and forecasting processes
* Performing month-end close activities including full Management Account production and variance reconciliations
* Implementation of financial systems, processes and controls
* Leading continuous improvements of department as and when required
* Assisting in audit process - acting as a point of contact for external auditors
Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Previous Manufacturing experience (essential)
