Senior Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join their dynamic Accounts Receivable team based in Barnsley.

As a Senior Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the credit cycle for their customers.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from setting up new customer accounts to resolving queries and ensuring timely payment.

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to maintaining our financial stability.

Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Handle the end-to-end credit process, including credit checks, setting up new customer accounts, and monitoring credit limits.
- Payment Collection: Proactively chase outstanding payments, maintain accurate records, and allocate cash receipts.
- Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer queries related to invoices, billing, and account discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and customer service.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on credit performance and aging debt.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in credit control, ideally within a similar corporate environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Compensation:
- Base Salary: £26,000 per annum.
- Monthly Bonus: A potential bonus of £300 per month, bringing gross earnings closer to £30,000 annually.
- Benefits: After a comprehensive 3-month training period, enjoy flexible working hours and the option for hybrid work arrangements. (minimum 1 day in the office per week)
