Senior Controls Assistant

Sharp Consultancy are working with an established business based in Leeds City Centre to recruit a Senior Controls Assistant for a 12 month fixed term contract.

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support the accurate and timely delivery of intercompany financial data, recharges, and IM cost allocations across actuals, budgets, and forecasts. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting internal stakeholders with clear, actionable insights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver intercompany recharge processes across legal entities.

  • Prepare the intragroup balance matrix at month-end.

  • Allocate IM P\&L costs across budget, forecast, and actuals.

  • Collaborate with the Treasury team to support invoicing and payment processes for intragroup balance clearance.

  • Handle ad-hoc sales invoicing and credit control tasks.

  • Maintain a robust and effective financial control environment.

 

Outcomes of the Role:

  • Timely and accurate intercompany reporting and reconciliation.

  • Clear visibility of intragroup balances and cost allocations.

  • Effective collaboration with Treasury and other finance teams.

  • Strong control and compliance across intercompany transactions.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Comfortable working with financial data; accounting qualification not required.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.

  • Confident in challenging existing processes and escalating issues appropriately.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • High attention to detail and ability to explain variances clearly.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

  • Collaborative team player who shares ideas and information openly.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Capable of consolidating and presenting financial analysis in a digestible format.
