Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Sheffield, as they look to appoint a Senior Accountant. With a strong reputation built over decades, the firm has successfully developed its brand across Yorkshire and Derbyshire and is recognised as a regional leader. Continued growth means they are now looking to strengthen their close-knit team with an ambitious and driven professional.

 

This role is ideal for a proactive and forward-thinking Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA candidate who enjoys client interaction and wants to progress their career, with the eagerness to grow within an expanding business.

 

A successful candidate will have the confidence, ability and knowledge to deliver a premium service to their own portfolio of clients – whilst also providing accounts and mentoring junior staff within the organisation.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and take ownership of your own portfolio of clients

  • Preparation of management accounts

  • Training, mentoring and reviewing work of junior staff

  • Oversee client bookkeeping

  • Review and submit VAT returns

 

Who you are:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA

  • Experience of working in an accountancy practice

  • Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Proactive, confident and self-motivated
