Sharp Consultancy are working with a leading independent accountancy practice in Sheffield in seeking an up and coming AAT accountant to join the firm on a training contract.
This is a progressive and supportive firm with an excellent reputation and very low staff turnover. The role has come about due to a continued expansion and there is scope for someone with ambition to progress up in the business, completing their professional qualifications, looking to make the next step in their career.
This accountancy practice offers a full range of accountancy and assurance services to a broad range of businesses including both SMEs and larger organisations. Your responsibilities will include:
*Preparation of year end accounts
*Monthly and quarterly management accounts
*Tax computations and returns
*Assisting with audits (training can be provided)
*VAT returns
You will need experience of preparing accounts, be able to work with minimal supervision and should be professional, ambitious and possess excellent attention to detail. Any experience of tax, VAT or audit is useful but is not essential. Full study support towards a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) is available if desired and there will be the opportunity for further progression within 2 years.
