 An established and growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding team. With a strong footprint across Yorkshire and the North Midlands, the practice has built a solid reputation for delivering high quality audit and advisory services to a broad client base. Continued growth has created an opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded individual to play a key role in the next phase of development.

 

This position offers a varied portfolio and regular client interaction across the region. You will lead audits from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners while supervising junior staff on assignments. There is genuine scope to progress for someone who can build strong client relationships, identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to the wider growth of the firm.

 

The role would suit an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and taking ownership of assignments. You should be confident managing audit fieldwork independently and comfortable operating as the main point of contact on site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audit assignments and overseeing on site teams

  • Preparing statutory financial statements in line with relevant standards including FRS 102

  • Acting as a primary contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service delivery

  • Supporting billing processes and monitoring job recoverability

  • Coaching and developing junior team members

  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and attract new business

 

Who You Are:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified

  • Proven experience in a client facing audit role

  • Confident managing audits from planning to completion

  • Strong technical knowledge, including FRS 102
