RI Audit Director

Job description

Rare audit director role (RI) where an existing quality audit portfolio awaits. The firm is a highly respected, high growth and innovative firm of chartered accountants with a first-class mid-market client base.

As specialists in advising and auditing quality (typically £20m - £100m turnover) privately owned businesses the Leeds office of this multi-office firm has experienced considerable double-digit growth in each of the last few years.

Entrepreneurial clients like visionary advisors and this is where the firm distinguishes itself from its peers. Already one of the region’s most well-known audit firms the aforementioned growth has led to the need for an additional director. With fellow partners and directors, you will take responsibility for auditing a sizeable portfolio of clients – unlike many similar opportunities there is a ready-made portfolio awaiting you – it does not need to be built from scratch and nor is it only one or two clients, you will commence with a sizeable portfolio but still with room for further growth.

You will need to be a qualified accountant, ACA, CA or ACCA with either a pre-existing practising certificate and RI status OR the ability to gain one quickly. Up to date external audit experience from within a quality firm of accountants is highly desirable though recent departees to industry who wish to return would be considered. Excellent customer facing skills, business development experience, leadership, audit and risk management knowledge are also required.

In return, you will enjoy the rewards of directorship with a financially sound firm experiencing considerable growth, supported by an experienced team and with a clear business case to be built towards partnership.
