I am recruiting a Purchase Ledger Supervisor for a PLC business who are the fastest growing company in their sector on the London Stock Exchange. They have 8 regional offices and a Head Office in Sheffield.

The job is important as their relationship with each of their suppliers is important to them and they aim to pay suppliers promptly and efficiently. They are also on an ambitious growth journey and continue to look for ways to improve our processes to support that growth.

The successful candidate will therefore need to be both a key point of co-ordination to ensure coverage of the purchase ledger, assisting in the day-to-day management of the department, and also play an active role in system and process development and change management.

This will involve working closely with the AP Manger and sub-contract ledger supervisor, along with the wider business.

Role Responsibility:
*Manage a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks, providing day to day support, training and guidance
*Maintain purchase ledger database
*Contribute to the development of processes and procedures
*Ensure all supplier invoices are processed in accordance with described processes and ensure that invoices are paid to agreed terms
*Manage the processing of weekly payment runs
*Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment/invoice issues etc
*Supporting the team with the reconciliation of vendor accounts
*Assisting with the monthly reporting requirements
*Assisting and supporting the AP manager in their tasks

The ideal candidate must have:
*Experience managing and developing people
*Strong excel capability is essential, along with MS office products
*Great interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required to succeed in role as you will be dealing with both internal and external customers representing the company.
*The ability to work to deadlines
*Self-motivated, resilient, and flexible
