Sharp Consultancy are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded engineering business based in Sheffield, as they look to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

The Role:

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy

  • Matching, batching and coding invoices

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries

  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs

  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

 

About You:

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable position

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Confidence working with finance systems (SAGE) and MS Excel

  • The ability to manage workload effectively in a busy environment

  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
