I'm working alongside a long standing client of Sharp Consultancy who are seeking to employ a Purchase Ledger Clerk. They are based close to the city centre with on site parking, a modern office and great working environment that boasts great facilities. They are in need to employ someone as soon as possible on a temporary basis that will most likely be long term due to illness and may even go permanent for the right candidate.

You will be working alongside the Finance Manager managing the purchase ledger process up to approving payments. It will take someone with a keen eye for detail who's relatively computer savvy as they use Microsoft Excel and a bespoke finance system.

The role would include:
Inputting purchase invoices onto bespoke system
Processing purchase invoices
Matching invoices to delivery notes and statements
Deal with supplier queries
Statement reconciliations

This is a great company to work for and they really value their staff. The role is a 37.5 hour working week although they can make arrangements if you need a level of flexibility in your working day.

To be successful for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Worked in an Accounts department for 2 years (essential)
* Completed or currently studying AAT would be advantageous
* Comfortable using Microsoft packages including Excel
* Good knowledge of how an accounts function operates
