The business requires a Project Accountant to join their dynamic finance team, who will be Responsible for collating and preparing accurate project reports, cashflows and risk registers through the life of a project, based on the information within contracts and from the project management teams.
This opportunity will suit an experienced excel user who wants to join a successful and growing business in an analytical role that will form a crucial link between finance and the wider business with a study support package also on offer.
Duties:
* Work closely with Project Managers throughout the life of the project to ensure management of critical project accounting datasets are accurate and dependable
* Provide financial support and analysis to various teams as well as the finance and commercial teams to support strategic decision making and risk evaluation
* Preparing monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts and consolidation of information for use in the Company forecast.
* Ensure that project teams maintain timely preparation and submission of project invoicing.
* Support project teams and Commercial Manager with information for compensation events and variation orders.
* Oversee the process to close each project account ensuring accurate costings and final accounting procedures are followed and due diligence is carried out prior to closing the final account
* Own the project elements of the monthly management accounting process, including cashflow schedules, variance analysis and actuals & forecasts
* Conduct review meetings with commercial team and project delivery teams
* Flexibility to carry out other duties within the role
