Due to growth, my client is looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their busy payroll function in the Harrogate office. The main purpose of the role will be to administer the payroll function of a number of operating companies.
Working as part of a team and reporting to Payroll Lead this role will involve:
*Ensuring multiple weekly and monthly payrolls are processed in accordance to company policy and timescales
*Co- ordinate the accurate and punctual processing of all payroll credit transfers and emergency CHAPS
*Support the administration of pensions schemes
*Ensure statutory deductions are made accurately
*Being proactive and taking the initiative to review procedures and processes to ensure the efficiency of payroll processing
*Dealing with payroll queries
*Maintaining good working relationships
*Support the Financial Accounting Manager and Payroll Lead with adhoc projects
Ideally you will have:
*Proven experience within Payroll
*Knowledge of PAYE,NI, Pensions, SSP and SMP
*Experience of Sage Payroll
*Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
