Payroll Manager - Stand Alone

Based on the outskirts of Huddersfield I am working with a successful business recruiting a Stand Alone Payroll Manager to assist in providing a full and effective payroll service to the company, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of employees' salaries whilst assisting in any ad hoc HR needs.

Key Responsibilities are to include but not exclusive to:

*Process and submit weekly and monthly payroll - 200 staff (120 weekly/80 monthly) and agency staff (0-30 depending on volumes)
*Checking and downloading weekly hrs from TMS clocking system into Flexipay payroll system
*Creating BACS files
*Process and submit monthly CJRS
*Pension Auto enrolment for 2 Pension schemes Peoples Pension - Legal & General Workplace Pension
*Deal with employee salary and payroll queries.
*Reporting of payroll to meet internal and statutory requirements RTI - FPS - EPS
*Maintain and update BIK (Benefits in Kind) through payroll (P11d) Company cars - Medical Insurance etc.
*Process and balance Year end procedure P35 - P60's etc
*Recording and monitoring of staff. Starters and leavers, holidays, absence, SSP, SMP, SPP etc.
*Processing Bike to work scheme
*Issuing Starter packs, contracts, offer letters, checking right to work documents, checking driving licences with DVLA
*Keeping TMS Personnel system up to date, issuing clock cards
*Producing weekly and monthly reports for the Financial Controller and any required ad hoc reports
*Checking and authorising Expenses payment

I am keen to hear from individuals with the following skills and experience:

*Previous experience of payroll preparation within an SME environment is essential
*Basic understanding of PAYE, NI deductions and salary exchange
*Prior experience of system implementation would be very advantageous
*Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
*Excellent excel including pivot tables and 'v' look-ups
*Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
*Highly organised and methodical with excellent interpersonal skills
*Flexible approach to work, with the ability to question the status quo
*Able to work on own initiative and prioritise competing demands
