Sharp Consultancy are pleased to be working alongside a successful manufacturing group of 3 companies, who are recruiting a Payroll Co-ordinator to join their Payroll team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will reporting into a very experienced Payroll and Benefits Lead and the role is also supported by a payroll administrator part time.
The role is based in Pollington (DN14), which is very accessible from a range of locations across Yorkshire, being close to the M62, M18 and A1 major transport links.

This role will entail all the daily payroll administration duties and collation of all the payroll data. There are currently 3 separate payrolls (300-250 employees in total) for each company within the group. This is an interesting role as you will be involved with implementing new processes, as the group currently outsource their payroll to two different bureau's, but there are plans to move to 1 bureau early this year. In addition, the role has a lot of potential for development in the future.
The package is between £27,000-£30,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% discretionary bonus, 25 days annual leave, hybrid working.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but not exclusive to:
* Collating and checking hours from clocking system
* Processing and ensuring checks are complete for new starters, and ensuring leaver information is kept up to date (including P45s etc)
* Verifying sickness, annual leave hours and calculating other rates
* Administering pension payments
* Processing employee expenses claims
* Processing changes and updating records
* Producing reports for the payroll bureaus
* Being the point of contact for both payroll/payslip queries from employees, and the payroll bureaus.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience working with payroll software/time and attendance systems (Essential)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, for example, performing functions such as Vlookups and Pivot Tables (Essential)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
* Ability to develop customer focused relationships (Essential)
* In-depth understanding of human resources and employment law and pay regulations (Desirable)
* Ability to analyse payroll data and produce meaningful MI (Desirable)
