Large service provider company based in York are currently recruiting for a payroll administrator to join their ever-growing team on a fixed term 9-month contract.

Based in head office in York you will be working within a team of 3 payroll clerks reporting directly to the Payroll Manager and you will have responsibility for:

*Collecting and processing timesheets - chasing late timesheets to ensure staff are paid on time.
*Entering employee information into the system.
*Preparation of VAT returns for review.
*Managing HMRC communications.
*Ensuring compliance with pension auto-enrolment laws for everyone within the company.
*Liaising with external stakeholders to make sure all information is correct and up to date.
*Being point of contact for employee's questions and queries regarding Payroll.
*Preparing reports that summarise earnings, tax deductions, leave etc
*Any other duties that maybe requested of you from your line manager.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their payroll experience working within a large organisation.
Ideally you be able to demonstrate:
*Previous experience working with Payroll ideally exposure to both monthly and weekly processes.
*Be IT literate specifically be able to demonstrate having proven experience of using Microsoft Office programmes.
*Excellent communication skills as you will be point of contact for employees and external stakeholders.
*Have a positive can-do attitude towards work.
*Be a team player.
*SAGE systems experience would be advantageous but not essential.
