Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working in partnership with one of the world's leading businesses in their sector.
The Payroll department are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their expanding team at the Finance Shared Service Centre in Worksop site. This site employs over 150 accountancy and finance professionals. Hence, creating a plethora of opportunities for development and progression late down the line.

This role would be perfect for either an experienced Payroll Administrator, or a recent Accountancy and Finance (or relevant) graduate/AAT studier with a desire to start a career in Payroll.

This in an exciting role for a graduate/AAT studier as payroll can often be an area of Accounting and Finance that is overlooked, despite it offering just as many opportunities for post graduate qualification, for promotion and for high earning potential as other areas.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but not exclusive to:
* Calculating payable hours employees have worked, including any bonuses or commissions, pay rises, overtime compensation.
* Calculating wages and salaries.
* Maintenance of employee data on the HR database.
* Collation and distribution of absence and holiday data for processing.
* Calculating tax and NI deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages.
* Dealing with VAT returns.
* Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.
* Handling HMRC queries or payroll-related queries (with timesheets, payslips etc).

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Either a recent Accountancy and Finance graduate with a passion for Payroll, or proven experience of working in Payroll or a similar role
* Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel, and accountancy/payroll software programs)
* Brilliant communication skills
* Good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines
* Good time management skills.
