The Accounts Assistant will ensure the day to day finance inputs are entered onto the primary accounts system in a timely and accurate manner.

This is a part time opportunity covering either 3 or 4 days per week depending on the needs of the individual and the business is very flexible in terms of the days worked including an attractive hybrid work pattern.

The main duties of the role are to include:

* Monitor and action key Finance mailboxes to accurately process purchase invoices and employee expenses in line with company authorisation matrix
* Complete supplier statement reconciliations as provided and take action based on those reconciliations e.g. query invoices, chase copy invoices
* Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all queried costs are resolved in a timely manner and to maintain system approval matrix / action access requests
* Provide weekly payment proposal
* Deal with supplier payment queries / remittance requests
* Take lead on ad hoc tasks relating to Purchase Ledger including but not limited to investigating debit balances, ensuring accurate allocations of payments etc
* Bank reconciliations and related postings to the primary ledger
* Ad hoc duties and project work as appropriate

The ideal individual with have the following skills and experience:

* Previous experience in a similar role
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Solid team working skills
* Ability to communicate appropriately, sensitively and maintain confidentiality
* Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
* Excellent attention to detail
* Experienced in Excel and Microsoft Office packages
