Job description

I’m working on behalf of a well-established and rapidly developing construction company in Doncaster who are looking to add a Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk to their friendly, supportive finance team.

Full training will be provided, along with sponsored AAT study support and the opportunity to progress toward CIMA or ACCA as your career develops.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assisting with processing purchase invoices and matching to PO’s.

  • Supporting with supplier statement reconciliations.

  • Helping maintain accurate purchase ledger records.

  • Handling queries from suppliers and internal teams.

  • Supporting the wider finance team during month-end tasks.

  • General administrative and finance duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen interest in finance or accounts (experience helpful but not essential).

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

  • Basic Excel skills.

  • Someone who wants to grow and develop professionally.

What’s on Offer:

  • A structured development pathway with fully funded AAT.

  • Long-term progression to CIMA/ACCA.

  • Supportive team environment with hands-on mentoring.

  • Exposure to a busy, fast-paced construction finance function.
