We are delighted to announce our continued collaboration with one of Barnsley's top Manufacturing SME's on a brand new recruitment assignment for a Manufacturing Accountant. This business are specialist manufacturers of a catalogue of bespoke products, designed, built and distributed nationwide using state of the art facilities. Following an internal restructure, the new position of Manufacturing Accountant has become available and will report directly into the Financial Controller.
As Manufacturing Accountant, you will hold responsibility for influencing strategic decisions that will drive performance within the business, as well as leading various reporting processes and delivering these results to multiple stakeholders across the wider operational team.
This opportunity would be ideal for a candidate with experience within the manufacturing sector looking to consolidate their skillset within an SME environment whilst having full ownership of financial processes and controls.
Duties to include:
* Collaborating with the manufacturing and sales team to provide knowledge and analysis on manufacturing costs, bill of materials and product pricing
* Full production of monthly management accounts
* Re-development of current reporting packs to automate weekly and monthly reporting processes
* Implementation of weekly production reports (including variances) and labour capture
* Ownership in the management of standard costs
* Maintenance of internal controls alongside developing and implementing financial procedures
* Implement and ensure robust financial controls, covering areas such as stock integrity, annual stocktakes and product cost prices
* Full responsibility of monthly budgeting and forecasting processes including reforecasting where appropriate and cost reduction targets
* Implementation and maintenance of key variance analysis covering manufacturing, sales and profitability
* Preparation of timely and accurate month end reports as required
Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Previous Manufacturing experience
