Management Accountant

Sharp Consultancy is pleased to be working with a market leading manufacturer in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit an excellent Management Accountant to support their head office function.

 

In this role you will be working closely beside the Financial Controller, responsible for forecasting and supporting the production of Management Accounts. This position will also give you exposure to sales and margin calculations, as well as other commercial activity.

 

This role is ideal for Part Qualified or Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA candidates who hold a great attention to detail, as this role will enable you to engage with a wide array of stakeholders including operational teams.

 

You will gain excellent insight and development opportunities working alongside the Financial Controller, including your own opportunity to manage and train an Assistant Management Accountant.

 

Duties/Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting the development of an Assistant Management Accountant
  • Support board level decision making through commercial analysis
  • Prepare balance sheet analysis
  • Contribute to the completion of variance analysis (Actual vs Budget and Actual vs Last Year) with commentary for SMT and Budget holders.

Who you are:

  • Part Qualified/Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Previous Management Accounting experience
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Manufacturing experience preferable
