Management Accountant in Harrogate

Leading property business based in the Harrogate area currently requires a CIMA/ACCA qualified Accountant or finalist to join their expanding accounts function in a newly created role. You will be responsible to produce the weekly and monthly accounts. As well as producing financial reports, variance analysis, budget management and cash flow reporting. You will also be an integral part of the finance function and a key point of contact for several internal and external stakeholders. Also with this role being client facing strong interpersonal skills are required to be successful in this position.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
*Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
*Responsible for the submission of Balance sheet lead schedules within contractual deadlines.
*Responsible for ensuring P&L and Balance Sheet queries are responded to within contractual timescales.
*Responsible for assisting in the delivery of a successful budget process.
*To review and implement new processes to deliver reporting and administrational efficiencies.
*To support with the client's Annual Statutory Audit.
*To support and maintain best practice with regards to GDPR compliance.
*To be committed to continuous improvement within the finance department and reporting.
*Support on ad-hoc tasks and reporting.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

*Hold an accounting qualification or be a finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
*Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
*Up to date management accounting techniques.
*Autonomous decision maker able to take ownership and control.
*Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and vlookup.
*Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
