Leading retail business based in the Leeds area requires a CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified Accountant to join their expanding accounts function in a newly created role. You will be responsible for the production of the weekly and monthly accounts. As well as assisting with budget management and cash flow reporting you will be an integral part of the finance function and a key point of contact for a number of internal stakeholders. So your fantastic interpersonal communication skills will be needed. You will also be working directly with and assisting the Head of Management Accounts with the preparation, review and analysis of the monthly accounts.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
*Assisting with the preparation, review and analysis of accurate and timely management accounts including commentary.
*Coaching/mentoring a few Junior Accountants and Apprentices.
*Balance sheet reconciliations.
*Budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
*Processing VAT Returns.
*Supporting with year-end audit.
*Ensure the continual review and improvement of procedures and key controls.
*Assisting with ad hoc projects and reporting.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

*Be studying towards a full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
*Experience in a management accountant position in the past.
*Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and vlookup.
*Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
*Analytical skills and high attention to detail.
