Excellent international business based in Knaresborough currently requires a career minded CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant or part qualified Accountant to join their growing Finance team in a newly created management accounts position. While working closely with the Group Financial Manager you will play a pivotal role in assisting the management of the finance team as well as taking ownership of and providing support to junior colleagues with the completion of financial tasks. You also will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the group's subsidiary companies, from ensuring day-to-day transactions are entered into the accounting system correctly, through to meeting all internal and external reporting requirements in full, on time and with accuracy.
Your duties will also include but not be limited to:
*Produce monthly accounts to Group Finance that have been fully reviewed.
*Prepare and deliver MI packs to provide commentary and analysis to senior leadership team.
*Compile full balance sheet reconciliations as support for all items held on the balance sheet
*Weekly production of the cash forecast.
*Liaise with the wider business to produce a weekly sales forecast.
*Full P&L forecasts through the year.
*Take the lead on the annual budgeting process for your entity
*Support with year-end audit.
*Posting purchase invoices.
*Daily bank postings/reconciliation.
*Journal entries
*Positively manage ad hoc reporting to support operational activity.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

*CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or experienced part qualified that is actively studying towards full qualification in the later stages of the qualification.
*Self-motivated with the drive and determination to see tasks through.
*Have a sound understanding of accounting techniques and double entry bookkeeping.
*Experience with SAP.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Be confident and able to liaise directly with senior internal and external stakeholders.
*Advanced Excel skills including look ups, pivot tables and advanced formulae.
