You will be part of an exciting and entrepreneurial team looking to grow the existing business and will be reporting to the experienced Financial Controller.
The business has a strong presence within their marketplace, and are looking to recruit an ambitious individual, working closely with the Finance team in preparing the month end accounts as well as taking on further responsibility within the Finance team alongside having the desire to progress and develop.
The role consists of the below areas of responsibility, with additional opportunities related to projects and subject matter expertise.
Role Specification:
* Preparing the monthly and annual management accounts
* Preparation and management of the cash flow forecast including discussions with departmental management to ensure accurate figures
* Prepare monthly journals and accruals
* Assist with the preparation of VAT and other statutory returns
* Assist with the preparation of payroll data (outsourced)
* Resolving queries with customers, suppliers and other departments in a timely manner
* Reporting any financial issues to the Financial Controller as soon as they arise
* Supervision and ongoing training of junior team members
Person Specification:
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Management Accounts experience
* Detail oriented
* Self-discipline and the ability to work on your own initiative
* Problem solving skills and can work as part of a Team
* Capable of communicating results clearly
