The business requires a management accountant to join their experienced finance team and will be part of the senior leadership teams and report into the Finance Director. This role will ideally suit someone from a manufacturing background, the main job responsibilities are accounting for overheads for all departments within the company, assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and forecasts you'll also be responsible for the Accounts payable and Payroll staff.
Duties:
*Prepare monthly management accounts using Great Plains software. Specific focus will be on Overheads and preparing that all necessary accruals and prepayments are processed on time in line with month end timetable
*Ensure labour costs are accurately recorded and that recoveries are posted correctly and on time in line with month end timetable
*Monthly forecasting Input into monthly forecast (and subsequent review with Finance Director)
* Continuous improvement of process
*Assist in annual budget preparation
*Conduct weekly departmental budget reviews comparing Actual v Budget v Forecast
*Assist with Annual external audit and preparation of statutory accounts
*Oversee and manage accounts payable and payroll
*Assist with Ad-Hoc Projects
*Prepare month end balance reconciliation for monthly with review
