We are supporting a well-established UK manufacturing business, part of a wider international group, in the appointment of an Interim Site Finance Business Partner. This is a site-based interim role expected to last 4–5 months, providing critical leadership and continuity while a permanent appointment is progressed. The Opportunity

Reporting into the Site Director, with a functional reporting line into regional finance leadership, you will play a key role in supporting site performance and decision-making. Acting as both a strategic and operational partner, you will ensure robust financial control, clear forecasting, and insightful analysis to support commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the principal finance partner to the Site Director, providing both tactical support and strategic challenge

  • Lead and deliver the month-end close process in line with group timelines

  • Own balance sheet control and reconciliation processes

  • Manage forecasting and outlook, with a strong grasp of key performance drivers and variances

  • Deliver clear, actionable financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisions

  • Support leadership teams with KPI reporting, variance analysis and corrective actions

  • Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, strategic plans and consolidated site reporting

Candidate Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

  • Proven finance leadership experience, within a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Strong background in cost accounting, including standard costing and absorption methodologies

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders

  • Highly analytical, solutions-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive self-starter who can quickly identify issues and drive improvement

Why This Role?

  • Opportunity to work closely with senior site and regional leadership

  • Well-run operation with established systems and clear expectations

  • Ideal for an interim professional or senior finance leader between permanent roles
